“Love Doll” is a high-priced mercenary with a passion for theatrics. On a chilly Valentine’s Day, she’s haunted by bad memories and an old flame. He writes a song for her, “The Purest Heart.” It’s about the determined spirit which dwells within her, which will seal their fate. Author Stephen Pytak introduced “Love Doll” in his novel “Katerina Blues (2013).” Her adventures continue in a short film, “With Love (2011).” “The Purest Heart (2013)” is a sequel to both. It stars Marion Elizabeth Smoot as “Love Doll.” Bold, beautiful, dark and daring, Marion is an actress and model with a powerful philosophy: “If you don’t take risks, you’re not living.” Musician Stephen Davey sang and composed the music for the title track. With charisma and a wild sense of humor, he plays Love Doll’s ex-boyfriend. His interpretation of a “What Is Love?” speech is classic. |
