While waiting for his girlfriend at a train station, Trevor wanders into a nearby blues bar called The On My Way Cafe to kill time. While there, he meets some of the bar dwellers who all appear to be waiting for someone as well. Among these characters are Dr. Soul, the elderly, soulful piano player; Clara, a beautiful middle-aged woman who is waiting for her husband to return after abandoning her; and James, the sleazy, alcoholic regular who mocks Trevor’s optimistic belief that his girlfriend is actually going to come back. The deeper Trevor dives into the mysterious and surreal ‘On My Way Cafe’, the more he begins to understand his situation, and the harder he finds it to leave…
