Lavolta seeks revenge. Lavolta wants to kill her former partner - Detective Kite. Detective Kite is involved in corruption and is in too deep with an Organized Crime Syndicate. The Boss of the Organized Crime Syndicate provided Detective Kite a choice - to either kill himself or Lavolta - and by doing so, his gambling debt would be wiped. Detective Kite decided to stage a boating accident and kill Lavolta. Lavolta was pronounced dead on arrival at the privately run City Morgue but unexpectedly returns to the living. And by doing so, Lavolta’s first images are of Murex about to feed off her. Lavolta slowly recovers from her horrific injuries and goes into hiding, knowing that Detective Kite wants her dead. Lavolta wants Murex to kill Detective Kite. Lavolta knows that Murex is a vampire and hence, does not exist.
