Kate is a single woman on a quest for the perfect mate. She prepares interview questions for her dates on colorful index cards, and arranges to meet the men at a local café. There, she quizzes her dates, hoping that her survey will flush out a man worthy of her time and attention. Several men seem promising, until their answers reveal disappointing qualities. The waitress, Dominique, sees Kate’s frustration and tries to help. She suggests new questions to ask, and sets Kate up with a lesbian friend - who also bombs the interview. Discouraged, Kate heads home. On her way, she crosses through a local park and sits on a park bench, where she reviews her index cards for next time. Just as she’s about to revise her questions, she notices a mysterious man performing tricks with his yo-yo. His dexterity impresses Kate, and when he performs a risqué move, she rips up her cards and takes him home. |
