Judith must decide if she’ll pull the plug on her husband Benny McMahan who lies in a persistent vegetative state. However, because of the optimistic Dr. Boyd who claims to have a cure, she keeps him alive. In the meantime Bayliss falls in love with Judith and tries to convince her to move on. This angers Dr. Boyd and he’s prepared to do whatever it takes to keep his patient Benny alive.
