Alabama Wallace is a lonely blogger and amateur movie critic, quirky girl, who convinces her only close friend, Bill Knox, a geeky high school teacher, to go with her on an eccentric mission to the Oscars After Party at Quentin Tarantino’s house, who she believes is her soul mate. She has a plan to meet Tarantino and she thinks he will fall in love with her once he understands how similar they are. Bill goes along with that crazy plan, but it is revealed, little by little, that it is only because he wants to be with Alabama. Ultimately, Alabama realizes that sometimes true love is right under your nose, and not something that you have to search for. In the end, she gives up on her misguided fantasy of being with Tarantino to be with her friend and real soul mate, Bill.
