Lord Helpus (Ernest Shields’)has no money so he accepts a job as a social worker/uplifter. It pays no salary but the city will provide funds for the needy…if needed. Helen (Yvette Mitchell) is a rich girl who loves to go slumming and pretends to be poor. Her father (Orin Jackson) and sweetheart, Bob (Albert MacQuarrie, hatch a plot to break of of hanging out in the slums. Lord Helpus is concerned as he has discovered he can steal money from her purse and she doesn’t miss it. |
