Details:

A comedic off-screen narrator introduces us to the Sacramento Valley during duck season - thousands of birds are in the air. We watch Cyrus and Maggie Scattershot and their dog Epidemic arrive at the water’s edge. They take a small boat to two blinds, Cyrus puts out some decoys, and they’re ready to shoot. It’s the dog’s job to find and bring back the fallen prey. The dog gets in an argument with a skunk over one dead duck: is there a winner? At the end of the day, the family of three heads home, with their fowl prizes.
