A NEW WAY OF LIFE is a story of hope, heartache, and an amazing woman fighting the odds to rebuild lives after prison. The United States incarcerates more people than any other country in the world. And most inmates who are released from prison this year will be back in prison next year. But Susan Burton is fighting to change that. After serving six prison sentences, Susan broke the cycle of incarceration. Since then, she’s gone on to help over 600 women do the same. This documentary focuses on Angela and Stacy, who are part of a Susan’s New Way of Life Prison Reentry Project, as they try to put their lives together, one small piece at a time. |
