The piece opens with the resonating sound of a cello that echoes through nature. A woman is cocooned among the foliage of an old tree. Like a creature, she awakens responding to the song born of the tree. Silks falls from that spot toward the earth like strings as she leaves the cocoon exploring the synergy of sound and movement. The relationship between herself and nature evolves as she communicates through the fabric that connects them and the vibrations that resonate within them. Her growth continues until the time comes for her to transform and continue life within a different element of nature. |
