SHOULD’VE BEEN THERE is an insightful, clever and witty portrait of a legendary photographer, Barrie Wentzell, now in his late sixties, who survived the life of rock n’ roll during its hay day. Barrie photographed all the legendary musicians who emerged in the 1960’s and 1970’s in London, England. A former chief photographer at Melody Maker Magazine, forerunner to Rolling Stone Magazine, Barrie had tremendous access to the private and public lives of Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Peter Townshend, Rogers Waters, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Frank Zappa, among other music legends. His iconic images, never been told behind-the- scene stories and personal anecdotes capturing the essence of this nostalgic historical period. |
