A priest named Peter abruptly decides to retire from priesthood in order to devote time to taking care of his own father, Edward, who has just been released from prison. He leaves behind a young altar boy, Bernard, who has been sheltered by his guidance and care for years. Peter’s desperate attempt to reconnect with his father is proven very difficult by Edward, a hardened soul, who forces his son to confront his own dark secrets. Over the course of one night, Peter is cruelly tested by Edward as he is provoked to realize that his intentions of becoming part of the church may have been a devastating mistake. |
