Curriculum is a micro-scale documentary set in Los Angeles centered around the larger theme of knowledge. It loosely follows a character, a tutor for the No Child Left Behind Act implemented by the Los Angeles Unified School District. Running through a few simple ideological questions rather than investigating characters, facts, or events (as one would expect of a documentary), the film was made to open up the matter of education in Los Angeles (and the larger matter of knowledge production) in relation to socio-economic as well as subjective positions. |
