Details:

Out to film a documentary about the illegal moonshine trade in Georgia titled ‘When the Sun Goes Down,’ student film makers Eric Jaffe and Max Allman are faced with the challenge of overcoming a last-minute cancellation from their principal interview. Already in Georgia, the two decide to spend the night in Atlanta at a friend’s house. The film makers bicker about solutions to their problem before ultimately deciding that the film is a lost cause. They decide to party in Atlanta instead. The only party Eric knows about, however, is being thrown by high school students. Max reluctantly joins Eric at the high school party. The night is surprisingly engaging but that doesn’t stop reality from creeping over the film maker’s the next morning. ‘When the Sun Goes Down’ is a failed project. Eric is left with no choice but to come up with a whole new concept. The new concept is titled ‘KLSTRDC’ (pronounced Cluster Doc), a documentary about the art of the American documentary and the struggles of those who make them. Featuring an interview with acclaimed director Josh Tickell (Fuel, The Big Fix) and built upon the narrative that led up to the film’s new direction, KLSTRDC is simultaneously humorous and informative.
