I hope they do not spoil this sequel for me and they actually end it at this….
It took all my courage to watch this movie. I wasn’t keen on a reboot, or whatever you wanna call it. They should’ve left this franchise alone. First of all, we the audience, are fed up with reboots and remakes. This shows us that Hollywood has become stagnant, that a generation of people there nowadays, lacks the originality that used to make Hollywood. Now, all we have are director who are constantly rehashing the same things over and over again, with franchises. Or, usurping other’s work in a remake, because they can’t come up with something original on their own. Something that future generations will remember them by. No no, that’s too much for them. And unfortunately, this franchise has fell victim to that godawful trend. This movie was boring and tamed, compared to the usual “Saw” formula of traps and twists. This felt rushed, as if all they cared about , was capitalizing on the name o the franchise, to hell with a decent storyline. As far as I’m concerned, they should stop now. Otherwise, they killed the little credibility that’s left of this unique series of movies. Shame on you James Wan. Show us that you can do something else than the same ole same ole. Move away from “Insidious, The conjuring” and this franchise, and give us something new and refreshing already.
