Nicole, from one day to the next, leaves her brother Kevin, their grandparents and her native Brazil behind, all in an effort to be reunited with her mother in Catalonia where she will discover a new culture and be enrolled in a new school. She will also cross paths with a handful of schoolmates who will make her life difficult for no other reason than her being new and seeming different to them. Soon enough however, they realize all that she is able to bring them, such as learning Samba for the final dance project at the end of the year; an adventure which will soon enrich the lives of her schoolmates as they come to experience the fun of learning something… both new and different from what they are used to -just like Nicole herself.
