Details:

Sixty five years after independence, India is riding on the wave of globalization. After new liberalization policies major metropolitan cities in India are shining with malls, multiplexes, IT parks and mega constructions, creating a vast economic disparity and poverty on the other hand. Due to long term negligence towards rural sector, rural-folk are forced to migrate to cities to survive and obviously streets and footpaths become their shelter. This documentary is an attempt to take a look at the lives of these homeless people, their struggle to survive, their daily routine and many other aspects associated with their lives. These homeless people living on streets of metropolitan cities don’t have a single document of their existence so they are virtually nonexistent to the rest of the population. The people living on the streets of Indian metros are a significant section of 78 million homeless people in India. Many of these people are living like this for many decades and the question is what will happen to them with staggering growth of the metros.
