The 1964 World’s Fair in New York: a modern event of postwar progress. While the Ford Mustang made its debut and American companies boasted of their new technology, a class of subway cars debuted that would be the staple of a generation while moving the people of New York, through some tough and changing times. 50 years later, the saga of these historic cars still continues as the preservation movement works to keep the unique equipment alive for future generations, as the World’s Fair legacy lives on. |
