Nangula is a wheelchair-bound, physically disabled girl excited about entering a new high school. On her first day, however, things do not turn out as expected. She is bullied by her schoolmates because of her disability and her father dies in a car accident. With her mother having abandoned her at birth, Nangula is left practically orphaned. Her uncle steps in to provide care but finds it difficult to cope. Nangula’s life spirals downward with continued bullying at school that inattentive teachers and an inexperienced caregiver do not address. Will she follow through on her resolve to drop out or finally get the help she needs?
