With the fallout of the 2008 financial meltdown still reverberating through the economy, ‘Overdrawn’ shines the spotlight on three individuals who fall prey to the allure of easy credit and fool themselves into thinking that this particular bubble will never burst. No more greedy than the rest of us, Ed, Sue, and Wedgie enter the boom years hungry for their ‘piece of the pie’. But when the music ends and the party is over, they learn their appetite for an ever bigger slice of the American Dream leaves them each with a pile of debt that is hard to swallow. A comedic drama, ‘Overdrawn’, presents a cautionary tale of well-intended schemers whose biggest crime is self-deception. |
