A bum awakes in an empty alley. With nothing more than a few worn newspaper pages for a blanket, a beer carton for a basket, a plastic bag for a bib and minimal food, he tries to have a picnic among people, to enjoy their company. Instead, he finds solitude as people gaze upon him with disgust, suspicion and even openly interfere with his plans. Resigned to not eat among others, the bum retreats to an empty tunnel where a final confrontation awaits him, with profound results. |
