“No Cigar” is a kiwi short film set in rural New Zealand. Teddy, an ex con recently released from prison, is on a mission to seek redemption and the son he has never met. Upon arriving in the rural township of Ohaeawai, Teddy meets Max, a quick witted yet paranoid young man who claims to know the whereabouts of Teddy’s son. A whirlwind of chaos ensues as lies, biker gangs and the “Tao Te Ching” all tragically collide in the backdrop of New Zealand’s beautiful country side. |
