After John’s accident, which left him blind, John tries to adapt to his handicap. Yet he is teased in school and his mother sends him to an institution. John very bitter cuts himself off from the rest of the world. John begins to search for the peace of the world he remembers before the accident. John learns of a medical procedure that could cure his sight. He is reluctant at first but the promise of sight, the world he’s been forced to live in becomes overwhelming. John undergoes the procedure but when he thinks it hasn’t worked, he takes his own life. In the final moments his sight returns and he finds the peace he has been searching for. |
