Shore Leave is a 9 minute short film about a young man who leaves his lover and the suburbs to join the Navy. Shore Leave is about heartbreak and sailors and shaving. Shot in Chicago and its suburbs, it moves from suburban warmth to the coldly lit mating ground of the public restroom. The film then flits through parks and clubs before ending where it started, in the kitchen of a suburban home. |
