Evie, a poor but plucky girl from small-town Oklahoma, saves all her money from her waitress job and moves to New York City to become an actress. On the way to her first audition, unexpected disaster strikes and Evie winds up in an early grave. Her spirit haunts her apartment, rehearsing her lines over and over, as the apartment is renovated and spoiled Jersey girl Doris moves in. |
