In the summertime in Ottawa, there is much pomp and circumstance on Parliament Hill with the traditions of the changing of the guards, and the retreat of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Marching Band, the latter as night falls. These two rituals, full of pageantry, are presented in front of an appreciative crowd of onlookers, many who have come specifically to Parliament Hill to watch these goings-on. |
