‘Intervention’ is the story of a girl who battles unnatural dangers to wrest her brother from the mysterious curse that holds him in its grasp. Jessica, a teenage girl living in a dark medieval realm, sets out alone on horseback through a foreboding wasteland. Her destination is a mysterious grotto in the wilderness, the last known refuge of her brother Eric, who fled his home and family in a rage, driven by his enslavement to a force of black magic. Upon finding the foul shelter that contains her brother, Jessica is confronted by other poor souls who have been completely overtaken by the evil, left as horrific wretches-broken shells of human beings. The creatures are immediately on the offensive, but Jessica’s will is greater than her fear, and she manages to defend herself just long enough to find her brother. As she struggles to fend off the monsters who have already succumbed to the darkness, she desperately tries to keep Eric from suffering the same fate. But Eric cannot be persuaded, and he does nothing to prevent the beasts he considers his allies from savagely attacking his sister. Eric will go to no end to cease Jessica’s insolence with trying to stop him from truly becoming the lost cause he considers himself, even attacking his sister by his own hands. Yet still, with little strength and nothing but a dwindling hope guiding her, Jessica is determined to intervene in Eric’s life, before this evil force claims him forever.
