Albert Singles is fifteen years-old and would rather be anywhere else but on a two-week hike in the Pacific Northwest with his father. Of course, he begins to realize just how important his relationship with his father is when his dad is attacked and killed by a Mountain Lion and Albert is driven deep into the wilderness. Now it is only by Albert’s memories of him that he is able to survive every challenge nature can throw at him, from his search for drinkable water, to his desperate escape from a hungry Mountain Lion on the prowl. |
