When an emotionally malfunctioning android girl is thrown out on the junk heap by her employers at the chocolate factory, she is befriended by a burnt-out scientist working the late shift. By teaching the android to play piano, the scientist sees that she is not broken, but gifted with a rare ability to feel emotions exactly like a human does. Through music, he helps her come to terms with her unique position in the world of intelligent beings. |
