Karl Urban rocked this and (unlike Stallone kept his damn helmet on) like the 2000ad comics did -would love to see the Angel gang or the Dark Judges bought to the big screen with urban in a sequel with todays CGi would look epic .
Dark, Gritty and realistic……well, as realistic as movies based on comic books can get.
Solid storyline and acting makes this a thoroughly good watch.
Would love to see more 2000 AD stories on the big screen.
I watch this movie every time I get it started, they did a great job job for the time and a close portrayed of the comic IMHO, I know it did not made any money and being a bust we will never see a sequel made but one could wish, Urban pulled off and the vibe of times was well capture in this film.I’m the Law is what made me a Dredd fan back in 87, we used to go to Lamours in Brooklyn NY to watch Anthrax before they become big.
Just got through watching a very harsh review of this on YT and it reminded me of why I like it so much.
I’ve never been so surprised that a movie didn’t get a sequel.

Had no idea this existed, until I saw something in the sidebar comments and clicked on it, then watched it. Carl Urban! YES! He’s a Great actor, and this was the best Dredd I have seen so far, my opinion. Really liked the rookie as well. She did a great job. Someone else here said they were really surprised this never got a sequel, and I agree, really should have, and should have brought the rookie back as well!
Awesome movie. But it would have been better without all the damned slow motion. I hate slow motion almost as much as found footage and shaky cam.
I feel Stallone still did it better when he said “I AM THE LAW!”
Yeah except with him it was ‘I AM THE LER’
So much better than the original. Karl Urban destroyed it. I too would love to see more of the Judge or any films like this genre made with this company(ies). Fantastic film, imho ranks up there with GOAT Max.
