Just been reading up on the real Robledo Puch whom this movie is based on. The only thing that irks me is that the director/writer took the liberty of reimagining Carlos (the fictionalized version of Robledo) as a gay psychopathic killer although no official version of Carlos’ story hints at any queer identity. Really sick of all the gay propaganda shoved down our throats.

Thought the same, but newspapers of the time do point to him being suspected if being gay. Many front pages called him a degenerate or “desviado” among other things, apparently, he acted very effeminate during interrogations. Telling reporters not to take pictures of him because he wasn’t “presentable” yet. Doesn’t mean he actually was gay, but it was assumed by many at the time. It shouldn’t have been put on the film regardless because they were just rumors. Rumors that Robledo Puch vehemently denies.
