The protagonist attempts to read ‘Notes From Underground’ by Fyodor Dostoevsky while eating a salad. This is both a love letter to one of my favorite books and an expression of the challenges of ingesting this difficult material while performing other daily activities. It’s a push and pull between high and low culture in my daily life. |
