In a small Indiana lake town, amidst the fishing boats and the local tavern, a once-famous painter is preparing for her comeback. Dispatched to cover the story is Diane Butler, a reporter from Chicago, who must travel to the Midwestern town of Grove Lake to track down Mandy Donovan, who left the art world thirty years ago only to re-appear in this small lake town. Diane does not care much for rural life, but as the date of Mandy’s art show approaches, this big city girl slowly learns to appreciate the people of Grove Lake and the values they hold dear. |
