Noël Donati grew up in the vibrant metropolis of Marseille. As a young man, he owned a bar. One day he decided to give up this life to become a goatherd in Corsica, the land of his ancestors. Now he lives on his goat farm “Bergerie de Vaccaghja” in the middle of the island at an altitude of 1621 meters above sea level, far from civilization. Life is slow and solitary. But every summer for one day the goat farm hosts a beauty contest where “Miss de Vaccaghja” is elected. The documentary portrays Noels life and work on the goat farm, reflects his past as a bar owner and observes the preparations for the most exciting day of the year. |
