Twain, a would-be pianist, wastes away as a bartender in a second-rate restaurant. He doesn’t play in public, is socially withdrawn and reluctant to share his feelings. But when a beautiful new waitress named Layla shows up at the restaurant where he works, Twain must come out of his shell to have any chance to woo her. Meanwhile, he meets a sweet young music teacher named Julie. She falls for him, enchanted by his charms, and becomes his supportive, lovestruck companion.
