The young German soldier Paul while walking the streets of Poland in 1941 hears piano music from a window. As he goes to investigate he finds Alexandra, a polish musician. In spite of the war they start a relationship which can only end tragically when the young love is discovered by Irina, Alexandra’s mother, and Paul meets the family’s Jewish friends. |
