The war is over and a family of factory owners belive thier son KIA, but he was taken prisoner with a friend and decided to flee from the POW-camp. After a long journey they finally arrive in her hometown, the son is heartily welcomed by his family, even his fiancee had not given up hope, but his friend’s parents - smaller farmers - are dead, their farm taken over by their creditors. His friend offers him a job at the factory, and soon he becomes one of the top executives, but then a a fire breaks out, threatening the workers. Both are working with the firefighters, to get their workers out, when suddenly a boiler explodes. |
