The Life in Underground is the movie I made in May 2011 in response to my feeling of displacement that I had in New York by experiencing my country, Japan’s disasters, the Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake and Fukushima nuclear disaster. In this movie, I transformed an ordinary NY subway station into a make-believe apocalyptic world by adding imaginary journalistic subtitles. The movie is entirely shot by a iphone camera. |
