Some people are forced to grow up before they get a chance to enjoy the blithe of adolescence. After the death of her mother, fifteen year old Dru is left to take care of her psychologically damaged father who is out of work and addicted to depressants. She has become passive to the things that happen around her, and vulnerable. When her brother returns from Iraq, some of her burden is lifted and she begins to take control of her own life. |
