James is a teenager caught somewhere in the drift between childhood and adulthood. Forever in the shadow of his absent Father, James suffers through each day the torments of his controlling and manipulative Mother. Convinced he is beyond salvation from his twisted Mother’s aim to recreate him into her husband’s image and her burgeoning sexual abuse, he is afraid to get close to anyone and he is terrified of intimacy. However, when he is faced with the opportunity to share his terrible truth, it may come at a price. A story of one boy’s journey to step out of the shadow and become his own man.
