Chasing Rabbits is a coming of age story between a father and son set in a highly successful Little League baseball community in Warner Robins, Georgia. For the last 6 years Coach Phillip Johnson and his son Payton Johnson have practiced baseball everyday in preparation for Payton’s 12-year old and final season of Little League where following the regular season the best 12-year old players are selected for a post season All-Star team that has the opportunity to take Warner Robins back to the Little League World Series for their 3rd appearance in the last 4 years - an unprecedented feat. Payton has been an All-Star player at every level of Little League so he expects to be a shoe-in choice for the 12-year old All-Star team. Coach Phillip has dreamed of coaching his son on the elite 12-year old All-Star team and going all the way to the Little League World Series since they began playing tee-ball 6 years ago, but before he can even begin that dream he must first win the regular season title and in order to accomplish that he needs Payton to be the leader of his Red Sox team. When Payton begins the 2010 season in a horrible hitting slump and the team quickly falls in the standings, Coach Phillip must find a way to return Payton to All-Star caliber form and get the Red Sox on the winning track before the entire season and both their goals that they’ve worked so hard to achieve are completely lost.
