= Low Quality | = Medium Quality | = High Quality | How do I watch these? |
Gotta say, I thought the book, aside from a few sections, was pretty dull and bordering on trite. Though the stream of consciousness bits were neat, they couldn’t carry the burdened narrative. The film, meanwhile, seemed to streamline things, provide an interesting angle on the story and character study, emphasizing the commentary and satire. (Plus, I’m a sucker for the little dance he does during “Hip to Be Square”.)
aiight each to their own. I wanted it to be as violent as the book was, thats all. The reason it wasnt cannot be discussed here…V ( ps we have the same name Vincent aka Vman lol )…V
I totally agree! The dialogs really make this film!
When this first came out I was not interested at all. I was just not interested in this type of movie, believing them boring and unrealistic.
Until I saw part of it at a party and year later and subsequently rented it.
I was seriously creeped out! I had known guys like that, not necessarily the rich over-privileged type but ones with the same attitude about the way they saw the world and other people.
Did you read the book? if so I feel you and you’re first gut instinct was not wrong. Here’s how you fooled yourself though, as my comment states below…No its not good not at all. All they got was the look and angle right on, context right, content very wrong. Screenplay and direction done by the wrong type of people. Read the book and say thank God for literature as its horrifying. Thank God this was a story and not an actuality, or is it and was it lol?….V
Hilarious!
