It all starts in an unconventional casting scene. A man (the film’s director),sitting on a bed in a dark room, is rehearsing the role of a female character such as found in Lars von Trier films. He becomes obsessed with the hysterical female character he plays. An unknown woman runs behind the camera. Then begins a journey through symbolic images from the Judeo-Christian history, as well as images of animals and themes in Lars von Trier films. The bodies of two characters, actor and director go through various emotional, physical and intense states. Between master and slave, victim and executioner, the woman seeks her femininity in the body of a young man, while he is trying to bring the woman in his body.
