‘In the Trenches’ focuses on two homeless combat veterans (one with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and the other with a secret that even his friend doesn’t know about. This film brings awareness to homelessness and the need for action and treatment for those with PTSD. The film is bitter sweet but will leave you with a sense of hope. Many metaphors/symbolism are also intended and interwoven within the story, the title and characters. This film is intended to be the last of several shorts in a series…but the story is shared in a backwards timeline and series of events that will eventually include some flashback scenes as well. It is also intended to educate by including pertinent statistics at the end of each story |
