It's the summer of 1969 in the small coastal town of Stavanger, Northern Europe. International oil companies have been test drilling for years, but nothing has been found and they are in the process of leaving. Stavanger lives off fish, and the North Sea is emptying out. The town is in crisis. The night before Christmas 1969, Phillips Petroleum finds the largest sub sea oil basin in history. And everything is about to change. |

Took a few minutes for me to decide, but then it hooked me. Excellent writing and production.
Great writing, acting, everything. Very good love storyline, too, if you’re in to the less is more kind.

This got better with each new season. That’s hard to do! Especially going through so many decades. I got hooked and then season 3 came along and the links dried up. Luckily I found it available through MHZ. I’ve requested links, but so far they haven’t been added. It really is a great show.
It’ s excellent. Even though it’s another country and culture, the period is the one I grew up in. I love the music.
When something’s this good I don’t mind reading subtitles.
