Da Parish is a feature documentary about St. Bernard Parish, a community in Southeast Louisiana, located between New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico, made up of 83% water. In 2005, St. Bernard was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Through the personal stories of three long-time residents, filmed in 2006 & 2012, Da Parish examines the community’s loss, healing and rebuilding, as well what it is that connects people to the place they call home. |
