A story about a bunch of 20-somethings in Amsterdam and their love-life, as told from 2 perspectives. First, the movie focuses on Dimitri, who is hopelessly in love with Esther but can’t move their relationship from friendship to something more. According to his friend Marten it’s because he is too sensitive and should act more aggressively. Women want bastards not bridesmaids, he says. The second half shows the same events but from the perspective of Susan and her abusive boyfriend Gino. Gino is a real bastard and has no trouble in getting female attention, but his approach has its downsides too. |
