On a desolate road at the edge of the woods sits a black truck. Its passenger door is open, and blood drips from the front grill to the gravel below. A short distance away lies a young woman, Sarah Tanner, unconscious - her clothes soaked in blood. She was last seen leaving town with her boyfriend Jason in the truck. Jason is gone. traumatized from the incident, Sarah is placed in the hospital, heavily sedated and unable to speak. Saddled with the burden of uncovering the truth, Sheriff Dan Brown enlists the aid of an out-of-town psychologist, Dr. Hannah Hudson. At every turn, Dr. Hudson is met with resistance from Sarah’s father, the hospital’s doctors and the local townspeople. Working in this hostile environment becomes even more unsettling when Dr. Hudson notices she is being watched by someone or something.
