oh this made me so angry the first time i watched it
i think Sally Field was perfect in her role

I agree! I watched this with my wonderful Mom the first time and we both were enraged! He was a total monster. The way his country was depicted was terrible and certainly not a place you want to add to your bucket list! Sally Field played this part perfectly. I just rewatched it again a couple of weeks ago.

Came to watch Alfred Molina, an underrated great. Sally Field was also very good. And Roshan Seth has a small part. I’ll never forget how excellent he was as Nehru in the movie, Gandhi (one of the truly great films of all time). 3.5/5
