A young girl awakens to the dichotomies between her parents’ values and their practices. Her growing disillusionment and the lack of guidance leave her feeling more and more abandoned in what seems to be a an increasingly dark world. Based on a poem by Rosemary Griggs, this short piece addresses the difficulties we all have in trying to contextualize our experiences within our belief systems. |
